DESCRIPTION:KEYS is hosting its 21st Tree Giveaway.\nThe event will take place at two locations: KEYS’ Service Building in Key West (1001 James Street) and KEYS’ Blimp Road site (755 Blimp Road\, between Valencia & Asturias roads). \nThe giveaway operates on a first-come\, first-serve basis for all KEYS customers. \nEach customer can choose two free native shade trees while supplies last. \nThe list of available trees can be found on  KeysEnergy.com. \nInitiated in 1994\, KEYS’ Tree Giveaway is part of the TREE POWER program\, sponsored by the American Public Power Association (APPA). \nThe national objective is to plant one tree for every public power customer\, totaling 16 million trees. \nIn 2004\, KEYS received the Golden Tree Award from the APPA for surpassing its goal by planting over 27\,500 trees\, equivalent to one for each customer served. \nTo date\, KEYS has distributed over 40\,000 native shade trees to its customers\, aiding in reducing energy costs by utilizing the shade provided by these trees to cool their homes.
